What is Hyperion
One trusted ecosystem for civil and military maintenance
Hyperion is a data space: a shared set of agreements, standards and technology that lets organisations exchange data directly with each other, without handing it over to a central platform.
It was started by KLM Engineering & Maintenance, the Royal Netherlands Aerospace Centre (NLR), the Dutch Ministry of Defence, OneLogistics, ILIAS and InnoTractor to create a fully data-driven maintenance ecosystem. Now we are opening it up to the companies in their supply chains.

How Hyperion works
Hyperion follows the European data space model: data is shared directly between participants through connectors, while shared trust services make sure everyone plays by the same rules.
Data space connectors
Each participant runs a connector, self-hosted or as a managed service. It publishes your data offers, negotiates contracts and transfers data directly to the partner.
Usage policies
Attach machine-readable rules to your data: who may use it, for which purpose and for how long. Contracts are negotiated automatically before any data moves.
Verified identity
Every company is checked during onboarding and receives a digital identity with verifiable credentials, so partners know exactly who they share with.
Shared data models
Common semantic models for component passports, maintenance events and sensor data mean everyone speaks the same language, without custom mappings per partner.
Works with your systems
Hyperion connects to the ERP, MRO and logistics software you already use through standard APIs. No need to replace anything.

Frequently asked questions
Who owns the data I share through Hyperion?
You do. Your data stays in your own systems and is only shared with the partners you choose, under the usage policy you attach to it. Hyperion does not store your data centrally.
Do I need to replace my current software?
No. Hyperion connects to your existing ERP, MRO and logistics systems. You only add a connector, which we can host for you.
How much technical knowledge do we need?
Very little if you choose a managed connector. We take care of the technical setup and help you map your data to the shared models.
What does it cost to join?
Conditions depend on your role in the network and the use cases you want to join. Contact us and we will explain the options for your company.
Can civil and military organisations really share data?
Yes. That is one of the reasons Hyperion exists. Strict identity checks and usage policies make sure sensitive data only reaches the parties that are allowed to see it.
